Can You Still Play Haypi Kingdom in 2026? A Platform-by-Platform Answer
Can you still play Haypi Kingdom? Practically no: still listed but uninstallable on iOS 11+, off Google Play since 2012, no live servers. Where it lives on.
If you have typed “can you still play Haypi Kingdom” into a search bar, you probably already suspect the answer. Here it is, platform by platform, with the dates and version numbers that explain why — and the one place the formula is still playable in 2026.
Can you still play Haypi Kingdom? Platform by platform
Most articles on this question get one detail wrong: they say the app was “delisted” or “removed from the App Store.” It was not. The listing (App Store id 341043140, titled “Haypi kingdom”) is still visible in 2026. What you see on the page is Apple’s notice that “the developer of this app needs to update it to work with your version of iOS.” Still listed, but uninstallable on any modern device — that is the accurate wording, and it changes what is and is not possible for you.
| Can you install it? | Can you actually play? | |
|---|---|---|
| Modern iPhone or iPad (iOS 11 or later) | No. The app is 32-bit; iOS 11 (September 2017) ended 32-bit support. | No. |
| Old iPhone or iPad stuck on iOS 10 or earlier | Maybe, from your Purchased history if the Apple ID downloaded it before. | No evidence of a populated server. Expect a login screen at best. |
| Android | Not from Google Play. Haypi Kingdom Legend was unpublished August 8, 2012. | No. Mirror APKs of 3.22 are unofficial and have no live servers. |
| Windows Phone 7 | No. The platform itself is dead. | No. |
| The sequel, Return of the King (iOS 6+) | Still listed, and may install. | Doubtful. A November 2020 review reports it stuck on the user-agreement screen. |
Modern iPhone or iPad: cannot install
Haypi Kingdom shipped its final update, version 3.20, on August 28, 2013. That build required iOS 4.3 or later and supported 168 device models from the iPhone 3GS, iPad 1 and third-generation iPod touch upward. It was never rebuilt as a 64-bit app. When iOS 11 arrived in September 2017, Apple dropped 32-bit support entirely, so every device updated since then simply cannot run it. The store page stays up; what you get instead of an install is Apple’s compatibility notice. If you want the full breakdown of what you will see on each store, read the Haypi Kingdom download guide.
An old iPhone on iOS 10 or earlier: the nuance
This is where the “still listed” distinction matters. If your Apple ID downloaded Haypi Kingdom back in the day, and you have a device that never went past iOS 10, the app may still appear in your Purchased history and may install. Veterans have tried exactly this. One undated App Store review, left after the iOS 11 cutoff, asks Haypi to “just add support for everything past iOS 11” and says the reviewer “bought an old iPhone on an older version of iOS” hoping to keep playing.
The catch is the other half of an MMO. Haypi Kingdom was server-side; the client was a window onto a world hosted by Shanghai Haypi Computers Technology Co., Ltd. Haypi never posted a shutdown date, but the game grew to well over a hundred numbered servers, and by 2016 players were reporting them closing in bulk:
135 servers are outta the game… Server 135 gone, server 134 gone… They have a few servers left but thats it
That was ten years ago. I have found no evidence that any populated server remains. So the realistic ceiling for the old-device route is a login screen, or a lonely city on an empty map. The server history page goes through the timeline in more detail.
Android: nothing official since 2012
The Android edition, released as “Haypi Kingdom Legend” (package com.haypi.kingdom.activity), was unpublished from Google Play on August 8, 2012, a full year before the last iOS update. Files labelled “Haypi Kingdom 3.22” still circulate on APK mirror sites. They are unofficial, unmaintained, and point at servers that no longer answer. Sideloading APKs from mirror sites is a well-known malware vector, and typing an old Haypi password into an unofficial login page is a bad idea on top of that. There is a longer discussion on the Haypi Kingdom on Android page.
Windows Phone: the platform is gone
Haypi advertised Windows Phone 7 as a supported platform, and builds 2.10 and 2.11 got changelog coverage at the time. Windows Phone itself is dead and no current device runs it. There is nothing to attempt here.
The sequel: Haypi Kingdom: The Return of the King
Haypi did ship a follow-up. Haypi Kingdom: The Return of the King was announced by press release on September 10, 2014 and released on the App Store on September 17, 2014. It changed the formula — heroes, six races, a PvE campaign of ten scenes and hundreds of levels — rather than remaking the original. Its last update was version 1.1.5 on December 22, 2015, which added a War Hall building. It requires iOS 6.0 or later and is still listed in 2026, so unlike the original it may actually install on a current iPhone. Whether it runs is another matter: a November 2020 review describes it stuck on the user-agreement page with no clickable Agree button on an iPhone 11 Pro, adding that the developers “haven’t worked in years literally.” If you were searching for “Haypi Kingdom 2,” this is the game people mean; there is a full write-up at Return of the King explained.
What you would actually see if you got it running
Suppose you do the whole exercise: dig out an iPhone 5 on iOS 10, sign in with the Apple ID you used in 2011, and find Haypi kingdom in Purchased. What then? Anyone who played remembers the rhythm of the game, and every part of it depended on the server.
- ▸Login and server select. The client asks the server which numbered worlds exist and where your account lives. With no server answering, this is where most attempts stop: a spinner, a timeout, or a connection error.
- ▸The city screen. The seven icons across the top — wood, stone, iron, crop, worker, money, coin — are all server-computed. Building timers, resource ticks and the crop drain that starved your troops if you overbuilt cavalry all ran there, not on the phone.
- ▸The world. Oases and forts to occupy, hunts for treasure and money, the market, the Rank screens for title, prestige and alliance — every one of these is a list fetched from the server.
- ▸The people. World, Alliance and Private chat, alliance wars, the scouting reports that made you check the game at 3 a.m. This is the actual game, and it needs other players on the same world.
Even in the best case — some forgotten server still accepting logins — you would be alone on it. A mobile MMO without its players is a museum piece, not a game. The wider story of how it got here, from three straight years in the top-grossing charts (2010 to 2012, by Haypi’s own account) to a silent fade, is on the what happened to Haypi Kingdom page.
Haypi’s server code was never released publicly, and I have found no credible community project that has reconstructed it. Anything advertising itself as a Haypi Kingdom private server means sideloading an APK from an unaccountable source and handing your credentials to an unknown login page. The private server rundown covers what exists and why none of it is worth the risk.
The one place the Haypi Kingdom formula is playable today
So the honest answer to whether Haypi Kingdom is still playable in 2026 is no. But the design that made it worth missing is not lost. Prestige: Kingdom War is a ground-up rebuild of that formula — a spiritual successor, not a port of Haypi’s code and not affiliated with Haypi Co. It launched on the App Store on May 28, 2026 (iOS 15.1 or later) and is on Google Play, free to play with optional VIP. What it keeps is the part veterans actually remember:
- ▸The four-resource economy with crop starvation. Wood, Stone, Iron and Crop, plus Money, Coins and Workers from the Main Building. Crop feeds troops, and at zero crop they starve. The Warehouse caps storage and the Cranny hides resources from raiders.
- ▸The four troop types and their roles. Infantry, Cavalry, Archers and Catapults, with speed deciding who strikes first, ranged units firing from range, Catapults breaking forts and turrets, and Overload as the carry stat. Armies move at the speed of their slowest unit, so meatshield fort runs still work the way you remember.
- ▸The 20-title climb. From 3rd Civilian to King, with attribute and skill points per promotion, more branch cities and oasis slots at higher ranks, and rare treasure consumables gating the top titles. Beginner protection lasts 7 days or until 3rd Baron, whichever comes first — the same cliff.
- ▸A persistent shared world. A 600×600 map, oases and forts with ten levels each, hunting at oases for money and treasure, a player-to-player Marketplace, and treasure chests with keys.
- ▸Alliances and live chat. Leader, up to five Vice-Leaders and members; World, Alliance and Private chat; alliance members cannot attack each other; alliance wars and leaderboards. A daily spin plays the Try Your Luck role, and a referral reward triggers when an invited friend reaches 3rd Baron.
It is not identical. The title thresholds and troop stats are the rebuild’s own numbers, the interface is modern, and there are systems the original never had, such as a Battle Simulator in the Barracks and seasonal events. The side-by-side is on the Haypi Kingdom vs Prestige: Kingdom War page, and the complete history of the classic is in the Haypi Kingdom pillar guide.

Prestige: Kingdom War is a free, independent rebuild of the classic: crop starvation, four troop types, oases and forts, the 20-title climb and alliance wars on a live 600×600 world. iOS 15.1+ and Android.
Bottom line
Can you still play Haypi Kingdom? On a modern iPhone or iPad, no — the app is still listed but has been uninstallable since iOS 11 in 2017. On Android, no — the Play listing has been gone since August 2012 and mirror APKs have nothing to connect to. On an old iPhone stuck on iOS 10 you might get it installed, but with no evidence of a populated server, you are looking at a login screen. The sequel is still listed and may install, but the last report I can find has it frozen on the user agreement. If what you miss is the design rather than the exact pixels, the Haypi Kingdom successor that keeps it alive is Prestige: Kingdom War.
Prestige: Kingdom War is an independent game and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Haypi Co. Haypi Kingdom is referenced as the classic that inspired it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Practically no. The original app is still listed on the App Store but its last build, version 3.20 from August 2013, is 32-bit and cannot install on iOS 11 or later. The Android edition left Google Play in August 2012, and there is no evidence any populated game server remains, so even an old install would open onto a login screen or an empty world.
No. The listing is still visible in 2026, but Apple shows a notice that the developer needs to update the app to work with your version of iOS. Because it was never rebuilt as a 64-bit app, it has been uninstallable on any iPhone or iPad running iOS 11 or later since September 2017. Still listed, but uninstallable, is the accurate description.
Possibly you can install it. On a device stuck on iOS 10 or earlier, the app may still appear in your Purchased history if your Apple ID downloaded it before. Playing is another matter: Haypi Kingdom was server-side, players reported mass server closures by 2016, and no populated server has been found since, so expect a login screen at best.
No. The Android edition, Haypi Kingdom Legend, was unpublished from Google Play on August 8, 2012. Files labelled Haypi Kingdom 3.22 still circulate on APK mirror sites, but they are unofficial, unmaintained, and have no live servers to reach. Sideloading them is a malware risk, and entering old credentials into an unofficial login page is unsafe.
It is still listed on the App Store and requires only iOS 6.0 or later, so it may install on a current iPhone. Its last update was version 1.1.5 on December 22, 2015, and a November 2020 review reports it stuck on the user-agreement screen with no clickable Agree button. Treat it as abandoned rather than playable.
