Guides & Tutorials
Everything you need to build a thriving kingdom — from managing Wood, Stone, Iron, and Crop to commanding Catapults against level-10 Forts and climbing all the way to King.
Getting Started
Your First 7 Days — Beginner's Protection
Every new player enjoys a 7-day protection period (or until you reach 3rd Baron — whichever comes first). During this window you cannot be attacked. Use it wisely.
- Open the Task list immediately and complete tasks one by one — each gives resources and Prestige.
- Upgrade your Main Building first. Its level sets your worker (population) cap, which limits everything else.
- Build and upgrade Lumber Mills, Stone Mines, Iron Mines, and Croplands to boost hourly production.
- Upgrade your Warehouse so you can store more resources — overflow is lost permanently.
- Build your Barracks and train a small army before protection expires.
- Join or create an Alliance. Members can reinforce each other and share tips.
- Check the Task list for the "Upgrade Title" task — meeting Prestige requirements moves you from 3rd Civilian toward 3rd Baron.
Understanding Resources
There are six currencies in Prestige: Kingdom War. Managing all six is the backbone of progress.
- Wood — produced by Lumber Mills. Primary building and troop-training material.
- Stone — produced by Stone Mines. Heavy construction material.
- Iron — produced by Iron Mines. Essential for military and wall upgrades.
- Crop — produced by Croplands. Feeds your army. If Crop goes to zero, your troops starve and die.
- Money — earned by trading at the Marketplace, occupying Forts, or hunting. Used for Technology research and trading.
- Coins — premium currency. Obtained via in-app purchase, chests, or rare daily gifts. Used for Speed-Ups, VIP time, and premium purchases.
- Upgrade your Cranny to protect a portion of your Wood, Stone, Iron, and Crop from enemy raids.
City Buildings
Building Priority Order
All buildings go up to level 20. Upgrading the right buildings first dramatically accelerates your growth.
- 1. Main Building — sets your worker (population) cap. Upgrade this constantly.
- 2. Warehouse — prevents resource overflow. Level it before major farming sessions.
- 3. Cropland — feeds your army. Scale crop production as your troop count rises.
- 4. Lumber Mill, Stone Mine, Iron Mine — keep all three at similar levels for balanced production.
- 5. Barracks — higher level = faster troop training. Essential for military growth.
- 6. Technology Center — Money-based research that gives permanent kingdom-wide bonuses.
- 7. City Wall — fortify with Traps and Turrets to deter raiders.
- 8. Cranny — protects resources from raids. Critical once you become an active target.
- 9. Marketplace — buy and sell resources and treasures. Has a 10% selling tax.
Warehouse & Cranny — Protecting Your Resources
Your Warehouse capacity determines how much of each resource you can hold. The Cranny protects a fixed amount from theft.
- Warehouse level 1 stores 800 of each resource. Level 20 stores 449,300.
- Always collect task rewards only when your Warehouse has space — otherwise you lose the overflow.
- The Cranny protects resources from raids. Level 20 Cranny protects 100,000 of each resource.
- Players with the "Break Cranny" skill can raid even protected resources — keep Cranny upgraded.
- VIP players get 3 upgrade action slots instead of 2, letting you queue more simultaneously.
Military & Combat
The Four Troop Types
Each troop type has a distinct role. Knowing when to use each one is the difference between victory and defeat.
- Infantry — cheapest and quickest to train. Excels at clearing enemy Traps. Low resource carrying capacity (80 per unit).
- Cavalry — fastest and strongest defense. Carries 100 resources per unit — use for raids and hunting. Great for high-speed armies.
- Archers — mid-range attackers. Cheaper and faster than Catapults but less powerful. Carry 40 per unit.
- Catapults — highest attack power and range. Slow and expensive but essential for capturing Forts and destroying Turrets. Carry 40 per unit.
- Speed determines first strike in battle. The player with higher Speed attacks first — invest in Marching Tech and Horse equipment.
Attacking Forts & Oases
Forts give Money per hour. Oases give resources per hour. Both are critical for sustaining large armies.
- Forts (10 levels): use Catapults to overwhelm their defenses. Level 1 fort requires ~215 Catapults; level 10 requires ~19,830.
- Fort income scales from $20/hr (level 1) to $200/hr (level 10).
- Oases (10 levels): produce 100–5,000 of one resource per hour. Occupied oases lose 1 level per day — constantly reclaim new ones.
- Oasis occupation: send troops to occupy. Level 1 needs ~5 Catapults; level 10 needs ~1,000.
- Keep Cavalry at "Wait" during fort battles so they survive to carry resources home.
- Classic fort attack: send Catapults forward, use 1 Infantry then 1 Archer as sequential meatshields, keep Cavalry waiting.
Defending Your City
Traps and Turrets on your City Wall are your passive defenses. They activate automatically when your city is attacked.
- Traps (up to level 10): placed outside the wall, they catch incoming Infantry. Higher level = more enemies caught.
- Traps have a capacity — once depleted through combat, they must be rebuilt (not single-use per battle, but finite total capacity).
- If your General has the "Convince" skill, some trapped enemy troops will join your army.
- Turrets (up to level 10): ranged wall defenses. Level 10 Turrets shoot from range 1050 with devastating power.
- You need Trap Research and Turret Research from the Technology Center before you can build or upgrade them.
- Keep garrisoned troops in your city — they fight alongside your Traps and Turrets automatically.
- Send troops out to hunt when expecting an attack — troops at an Oasis cannot be hit.
Speed — The Most Important Stat
Speed determines who attacks first in any battle. Maximum Speed is 190 — reaching it makes your Cavalry nearly unstoppable.
- Speed formula: Base Speed of Unit + (Speed Attribute + Equipment Bonus) = effective speed.
- Max speed (190) requires: 100 Speed attribute points + level 10 Marching Tech + level 15 Horse + level 15 Manual, both enhanced to level 20.
- At max speed with Cavalry, you can cross the entire map in 2 turns and take down level 10 Turrets without being hit.
- Speed Attribute: each point = +1% speed. Prioritize Speed when distributing Attribute Points on title upgrades.
- Even without max speed, investing in Speed gives a major tactical advantage in PvP.
Technology Research
11 Technology Skills
Technology research is done at the Technology Center and costs Money (not resources). All upgrades apply to every city you own.
- Woodcutting / Digging / Smelting — each +5% production per level for Lumber, Stone, and Iron respectively.
- Planting — +10% Crop production per level. Research this aggressively as your army grows.
- Shooting Skill — increases the shooting range of ranged units. Higher levels let Archers strike from further away.
- Scout Skill — higher level than enemy = detailed scout reports showing exact troop counts and resource amounts.
- Marching Skill — +3% movement speed per level for all armies.
- Attack Skill — +2% attack per level for all troops.
- Defensive Skill — +2% defense per level for all troops.
- Trap Research — required before you can build or upgrade Traps on your City Wall.
- Turret Research — required before you can build or upgrade Turrets on your City Wall.
- Technology cost roughly doubles each level. Plan Money reserves before starting high-level research.
General Titles & Prestige
Rising Through 20 Titles
Your General Title is your level. There are 20 titles from 3rd-Class Civilian to King. Each unlock requires a Prestige threshold and sometimes rare Treasure items.
- 3rd Civilian (level 1) → King (level 20). Prestige requirements scale from 0 to 11,500,000.
- Key treasure gates: level 4 (3rd Baron) needs 1 Nugget; level 7 (3rd Viscount) needs 1 Nugget + 1 Gemstone; level 10 (3rd Earl) needs 1 Gemstone + 1 Medal.
- Higher titles: level 13 needs 1 Medal + 1 Scepter; level 16 needs 3 Scepters; level 19 needs 2 Scepters + 2 Crowns; level 20 (King) needs 4 Scepters + 4 Crowns.
- Each title promotion awards Attribute Points (Speed, Attack, Defense, Fortune) and Skill Points.
- Higher titles also unlock more Branch Cities, Oases slots, and Fortified Point slots.
- Beginner's protection expires when you reach level 4 (3rd Baron) — be ready for PvP.
How to Earn Prestige
Prestige is the primary progression currency for title upgrades. Every action that strengthens your kingdom awards Prestige.
- Building upgrades — every building level gives Prestige. Upgrade constantly.
- Training troops — each troop trained contributes Prestige.
- Combat — defeating enemy troops gives War Prestige. Formula: (enemy casualties) - ratio × (your casualties).
- War Prestige favors the underdog — a low-level player gains much more Prestige from defeating a high-level player.
- Hunting at Oases — brings back Prestige in addition to Money and Treasure.
- System rewards and task completions — follow the Task list daily.
- Your Prestige cannot drop below the minimum for your current title level — you can't be demoted.
Skill Points — General Abilities
Each title upgrade grants Skill Points you can invest in five powerful General skills.
- Unlock Chest — lets you open chests without a matching key. Higher level = higher chest tier you can unlock.
- Hidden Attack — a percentage of your attacks arrive unannounced (no alert to defender). Higher level = more attacks hidden.
- Heal — saves a portion of your troops after battle. Higher level = more troops recovered.
- Break Cranny — lets you raid resources from enemy Crannies. Higher level = more resources stolen.
- Convince — if enemies are caught in your Traps, this converts a percentage into your own troops. Very powerful at high levels.
Hunting & the Marketplace
Hunting at Oases
Send troops to any Oasis on the map to hunt for Money, Treasure, and other rewards — and keep them safe from enemy attacks while away.
- Go to Map → select an Oasis → Hunt. Choose how many troops to send.
- Longer hunts (8–12 hours) yield the best rewards. Maximum hunt duration is 10 days.
- Fast, large armies with high Fortune stat get the best harvests. Cavalry are ideal hunters.
- Split armies into groups: Catapults + Archers in one group, Infantry + Cavalry in another, for optimal results.
- Oases that haven't been hunted recently give better rewards. Freshly hunted oases may return nothing.
- Hunting keeps your troops safe — enemy players cannot attack troops that are out hunting.
- Upgrade Fortune Attribute Points to improve hunt rewards and trigger more lucky double-strikes in combat.
The Marketplace
Trade resources and Treasures with other players. The Marketplace takes a 10% commission on all sales.
- You can sell and buy: Wood, Stone, Iron, Crop, Nuggets, Gemstones, Medals, Scepters, Crowns.
- Also tradeable: all levelled Swords, Armor, Horses, Manuals, Rings, Chests, and Keys.
- Selling resources costs Workers (population) — ensure you have enough capacity before listing.
- You only receive 90% of the listing price as the Marketplace takes a 10% cut.
- Buy resources here when you're short before a big upgrade or military push.
- Treasure items (Nuggets, Gemstones, etc.) can be very valuable as title upgrade requirements — price accordingly.
Alliances
Alliance System & Roles
Alliances hold up to 50 players and are organized into three roles: Leader, Vice-Leader, and Member.
- Leader — full control. Can disband, approve/kick members, promote Vice-Leaders, attack and abandon Mines, collect the Daily Alliance Gift, and train Alliance troops.
- Vice-Leader — up to 5 per alliance. Can approve/kick members (except Leader), attack Mines, train troops, upgrade Alliance level.
- Member — can quit, donate resources, upgrade Alliance level, and invite friends.
- Alliance ranking on the server is based on Prestige gained from holding Mines on the Alliance Map — not individual member Prestige.
- Individual rank within the alliance is based on resource donations. Higher donors get more Honor Points per hour.
- Players in the same alliance cannot attack each other.
- Go to Alliance List → Ask to Join, or create your own alliance from the Alliance screen.
Tips & Advanced Strategies
Fort Farming — The Best Money Source
Capturing and holding Forts is the most efficient way to stockpile Money for Technology research.
- Attack pattern for fort farming: send Catapults forward; use 1 Infantry then 1 Archer as meatshields to buy Catapults extra rounds; keep Cavalry on "Wait" to survive and carry resources home.
- Attack troop order with Catapults: target enemy Catapults first, then Cavalry, then Infantry, then Archers.
- The bigger the attacking army, the fewer casualties you take.
- Level 6+ forts require some Catapults even if you plan to outnumber troops.
- Assign Cavalry to retrieve resources after battle — they carry 100 resources per unit vs. 40 for most others.
Building a Large Army Sustainably
Large armies consume enormous amounts of Crop. Run out of Crop and your soldiers starve and disappear.
- Upgrade Cropland aggressively in your Main City — reach level 20 if possible.
- Use Technology Planting research to boost Crop production by up to 10% per level.
- Split your army across multiple Branch Cities to distribute the Crop drain.
- Running slightly negative Crop is viable if you Farm Forts regularly to cover the deficit.
- Enhance Cropland production using the Enhance feature (1 coin = 50% boost for 24 hours).
- Watch your hourly crop balance in the top bar — negative means your army is consuming more than you produce.
Daily Habits for Fast Growth
Consistent daily play beats sporadic heavy sessions. Build these habits.
- Check the Task list every login — complete every available task for resources and Prestige.
- Keep your build queue full at all times. Idle queue slots = wasted time.
- Send troops to hunt before logging off — they earn Money and Treasure while you're away and are safe from attacks.
- Collect Daily Alliance Gift if you're Leader or Vice-Leader.
- Check the Marketplace for cheap resources when you're short on a specific material.
- Use Speed-Up items on long builds: 1 coin = 15 min, 2 coins = 1 hour, 5 coins = 5 hours, 10 coins = instant.
- Scout before attacking — higher Scout Skill than your target reveals exact troop counts and resource amounts.
