How to Coordinate Rallies

Rallies concentrate several players’ armies into one devastating hit. Learn how to time them, stack compositions, and communicate so every rally lands.

A rally is the most powerful move an alliance has: several players’ armies stacked into one overwhelming hit. Done right, it cracks targets nobody could take alone. Done sloppily, it just warns the enemy. Here’s how to make every rally land.

What a rally does

A rally lets multiple players combine their troops into a single massive attack on one target, led by one player. The combined force hits far harder than any individual army — which is exactly why coordination matters: a rally only works if people actually join it in time.

Time it right

  • Hit when the target is weak. Offline players, or those with armies away, are the best targets.
  • Mind the march time. A rally takes time to fill and travel — start it with enough lead that it lands when you intend.
  • Don’t telegraph. A long, obvious rally gives defenders time to reinforce or evacuate.

Stack the right composition

A rally is only as good as what’s in it. Lead with durable infantry to soak the defense, stack damage from cavalry and archers, and bring catapults if there are walls to break. See the troop composition guide for the breakdown.

Communicate the call

The number-one rally killer
A half-joined rally. If only some members commit, the attack lands weak and wakes the enemy up. Call the rally clearly — target, timing, who’s joining — and make sure people actually commit before it fires.

Rallies in reverse: reinforcement

Reinforcing a teammate under attack is the same coordination in reverse. An alliance that fills reinforcement calls as fast as it fills rallies is nearly impossible to pick apart. More in the alliance warfare guide and how to run a successful alliance.
